  This is a brief summary of the leaning outcomes for the Introductory Course to the International Plant Protection Convention IPPC - The International Plant Protection Convention This is an international plant health agreement that aims to protect, cultivated and wild plants by preventing the introduction and spread of plant pests and diseases. The Convention was adopted in 1951 at the conference of FAO - the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. In 1992 the IPPC Secretariat was established beginning standard-setting programme. Over 180 countries signed the Convention.  I am agricultural enthusiast, a native of Jamaica, I consider myself to be diligent, with a facilitating personality continuously striving for excellence. I am currently an Agricultural Inspector within the AHIS unit of the Cayman Islands Department of Agriculture. I am graduate of Knockalva Agricultural School and the College of Agriculture, Science and Education (CASE). with some work experience with the Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI). I have learned and appreciate the importance of the technicalities and how the applied science of agriculture impacts the human and social fabric of life's sustainability.
